Outlawz Color Challenge Jan. 31st

Hello!  Today starts another week of Color Challenges over at The Outlawz !!
The color scheme this week is ~ Turquoise, Black, and Gold
The Twist is:  Make It Masculine ~ The photo inspiration is shown below!  

I came up with a Sailboat image. And here's my card with colors chosen for this challenge.  :)

The Sailboat is colored in using Prisma watercolor pencils.  Since this is a masculine card, I didn't want to add any bling.  :)   Anyway, I like how it turned out!       We look forward to seeing what designs you come up with!  See you all over at the Outlawz!!!

Carley on the beach card

Good Morning, yes, its getting to be habit with me to stay up extremely late.   The creative side of my brain starts kicking in around midnight...don't ya know!  :)    Well, here as promised... a card with my newest digital image, Carley on the beach.   Which you'll find, just click on the link.. Createful Heart Digis  at our Etsy store.    
I always use prisma watercolor pencils.  And this time I used a blending water brush to help with the tinting of the water that surrounds the beach.
I just love how this image turned out.  Carley is my favorite, with the Sunny Day Swing following in a close second!

Hello and Howdie!

Hello, to all my fellow followers and visitors. ♥

I'm still here.   Yes, I am.   I have been "nursing" my leg due to injuring it about a week ago.  Ugh.    About all I could do was keep it elevated, keep the heating pad going.    I'm not really sure how it happened... all I know is that my muscles had a "twisted" feeling.     Thank the Lord, it's finally on the mend.   Now, my lower back is feeling the pinch.    And this is bad because, I sit at my desk quite often, either working on my laptop or drawing.    

This evening, I've been drawing....   I'm currently working on something in the background {so to speak} that I'll be able to share with you all, at another time.  Until then,  have a good morning... can't really say evening... as I have stayed up rather late again tonight... ♥  {I mean, morning!}  LOL

Rose Serenade

I wanted a card for my Mother.

"Just Because"

Originally thought it could be used for a Valentines Day occasion.. but whatever the reason its nice just to let them know you care. ♥

Materials used:

Base card stock is peach

Also a medium green

Pastel peach was used for the front.

Sizzix folder 

The rose was colored in using Prisma water color in carmine red.

The leaves and stems were a combo of greens, tan, brown.

Butterfly cut-out 

Tombow glue

& glue dots

Folder was lightly touched with chalks.

Cat's at Play

Good Morning!    I wanted to create something for those of you that like cats.  They are such playful creatures... as you will see in this image that I have for you.

Here's the card I made.   I wasn't quite sure what color the curtains should be but it really doesn't matter... as this is just an example. 

I have used prisma pencils.

Cream, red, grey card stock.

We have a cat, he's 15 years of age...raised him from just a tot, at the age of 6-1/2 weeks.  Fed the little fuzzy thing with an eye dropper.   He was such a cutie pie. We named him, Mudpie. :)

As long as my husband and I have been married, we've not ever had 2 cats together.    We've had just a cat. 

I was raised up around kitties.   And used to have such fun watching them at play!   I still remember this... and wanted to capture some of those memories.♥

Hello, now... {drum roll please} I have added a "follow me" button at the top of the page.   So... if ya ever wondered why you weren't able to find the button before.... its cause I live under a rock.... well, not really...  but, I have heard this before from a fellow co-worker when waiting to be seated at an I Hop restaurant.   I said, "I had never eaten here before."        With a look of surprise..  she replied.. "Have you been living under a rock?"

In fact, ssshhhh!  don't tell anyone, but -  I've never eaten a White Castle hamburger, either...  so, whatever.

Nestling Doll Cards

Nestling Dolls

A matryoshka doll (Russian), also known as a Russian nestling doll or Russian doll, is a set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside another.  ❤❤   In this case these dolls were fashioned by using card stock.   They do nestle down inside the other.   These are just too cute!   It may be hard to part with this trio.  ♥♥♥   The head tops do open for a little note to be placed inside.

Layers upon layers of a whimsical spring-like design. :)

Card stock in colors of deep purple; kiwi yellow; followed by a lattice of blue metallic Perfect Pearls brushed over the top of light grey card stock.

I just love this look. 😃

Touch of Spring card

 A Touch of Spring

Butterflies dancing on soft breezes.

💙💙💙

I "antiqued" this card on the edges, birdcage, and embossed design using distress inks in tumbled glass, vintage photo, and wild honey.

Then I lightly brushed on a tiny bit of - forever red & forever green of Perfect Pearls.  It really gives it a rustic look.

The flower cut-outs have been "popped" to give depth.  The pink butterfly was done with a touch of clear glitter glue. 

I am pleased how this turned out. ;)

Butterfly Garden Card

Good Morning!    I decided to stay up a little while longer to finish up working on a card.    I couldn't decide, at first, what colors I wanted to use... decisions - decisions!    So I decided on a color I don't normally gravitate to... purple... or in this case a soft violet with a deeper purple added as a "pathway" for the butterflies.     I just happened to have a delicate flowered paper to give a garden feel.     I really like the peaceful feeling this design seems to have.      I mainly wanted the butterflies to be white with just a touch of pink to their wings. 

I'm not sure why this seems to look crooked...  it could be the way I held the camera.  ;)

This card chases away those very cold temperatures we've had lately.

And reminds us all of warmer weather to come... I know,  it will be a while! 😃

Merry Christmas!

My husband surprised me with this wonderful machine... and I absolutely love, love, love it!!!

I always wanted one... but didn't know for sure how often I would use it.

I thought these cards turned out nicely. 😊

And I love the fact that it makes coordinating envelopes.

Cute Hedgehog (DI)

Hettie the Hedgehog  was removed.

I've been wanting to create a little hedgehog to put in my greeting cards and such... after many sketches this is the one that caught my eye.  

Once I'm satisfied with the sketch... as I ink it in..  the image seems to take on a character all its own. 

I love to take pictures of flowers and the little bugs that hide between the layers of the petals.   As you look into this flower you'll see a ladybug... looking back at Hettie. 

I have enjoyed creating this image.   And I hope that you will find in your heart to place her on one of your cards also.

Tired Hound (DI)

Tired Hound was removed.

We have a dog, she's a rescue from a shelter.  We named her Dollie. 

Our dog is not lazy at all!  She is always full of energy...except for when she is sleeping.

Dollie is a mix of  Blood Hound, Pointer, Black Lab, and Weimaraner.

This digital stamp is an exaggeration of our dog after coming home from a long walk.
