Welcome to Challenge #1 

Our Team of Designers would like to Welcome you back to our Blog Challenges!   Happy to have you join in with us again! 

The Theme for this Blog Challenge is:

Autumn/Fall

You may choose from Pumpkins, Owl, Leaves, Sunflowers.. or have a combination of all.   Its up to you.   (Anything goes is not accepted).

*Please check out our Rules, as they are SPECIFIC!*

We will be having Themes on a monthly basis.

The monthly Blog Challenges will start on the 15th of the month @ 7:00 A.M., and end on the 13th @ 12:00 Midnight of the following month.  (Times are set for EDT - Indiana U.S.)

You will enter your card, using the InLinkz button below.  After you enter your card, a link to your card will appear.  We will no longer have thumbnail images to appear on our blog.  Please make sure your link goes to your card (blog post), and not your entire blog.   Please no back-linking!!  We appreciate that!

Challenge Time Update!

Hi! I wanted to make sure that you knew when our New Challenge begins.  We will start early, 7:00 A.M., September 15th, and our Challenge will run until the 13th of October at 12 Midnight.

All Times are set on EDT Indiana, U.S.

If you need some help with figuring out what time your post should go live, please have a look at our world clock page.  So when you are on the world clock page, there are just 3 major cities, and the times given.  So, Indiana is the same as New York time. 

Also, you'll want to check out our Rules & Guideline's page.

We used to state that the blog challenges would end on the 14th of the following month, but that needed to change.  Please keep all this information handy so you will know what to expect!

There will be a Theme each Blog Challenge.

Hello, Everyone!    I would like to introduce you to my newest image, Emmie Lou.  She is just too cute, cuddling with her favorite kitty!   I had fun putting together a tag, using background colors and spritzing with a little bit of water.  Giving it a watercolor effect.  Then adding a spritz of glimmer mist in canary yellow.  I finished it with a bit of lace, and sentiment.    You can find Emmie Lou in my Zibbet Shop.  Emmie Lou

Hello, everyone!   I would like to let you know that I have made a change to one of the Challenge Themes.  Before you enter our Blog challenges, please always check the themes tap at the top.  

For Challenge #2 :  October 15th - November 13th - “Sentiment” - Create cards with a sentiment of: Thankful; Blessing, or Thinking of you. If you are choosing to use an image from Createful Heart Design, please do not cover the main part of our images with the sentiment.

New FB Challenge!!

Hello, everyone!  We are having a FB Challenge going on right now!  You need to be a member to join in the fun.  Here is the link: Createful Heart Design FB Challenge

Alright, to start off with I was asked to be Guest Designer for this month's challenge.  And I am honored.  Thank you, Miss. Robyn for asking me. :) 

This is what I have created for this month.  I am using the image: Paige,  I decided to make a tag.  She was a lot of fun to design and to color in... I used Prisma coloring pencils in shades of browns and wine.  To give her outfit an Autumn look.

The designer paper for the background was given to me, by a friend.  Thank you!  

The flat lace, and little flourish of flowers at the top are from Cindy's Laces.  If you've never tried her laces you should. They are pretty awesome!  

The other embellishments are from my stash.  That's pretty much it for this post..

Hello, everyone!   I just started a board on Pinterest.  Which I should have started long ago....  here is the link... Createful Heart Design.  I tried adding the button they provide...but I'm not tech savvy.    Yes, way down at the bottom left side of this blog you'll find a button but not the one I wanted to add.  :)

Christmas Bell

Hello!  Just wanted to tell you about my new digital image, "Christmas Bell"  she is a really cute flamingo that is all ready for the holidays!    I used Prismacolor pencils to color her in, and for the background decided to go with Distress Oxide in Twisted Citron, and Salty Ocean.   The photo doesn't show the sparkles added to her santa hat...but its there!

Going Back in Time Magnets

Hello!    here is a project that I made using some materials from my Zibbet shop.  These are cards for junk journals, but since I don't make those kinds of journals, I decided to use them for magnets.  I thought they turned out nice.   See what you think.   

Below you will find a sampling of these junk journal cards that I have designed to use in your projects.  And when you make a purchase from my Createful Heart Design Shop, you'll receive them for free, if you would like them!

Be Aware!!

There is a suspicious email going out to people who use PayPal services.   Please be aware of this.   Don't do like I did. Without thinking about it, I opened my email.  I didn't think that it wasn't official.  Until the links that were imbedded in the email didn't work, that's when I realized something wasn't right.   Upon finding this I went immediately to PayPal to change my password.  And to speak with a Rep. They assured me that everything was okay with my acct.  Then just for safety measures I checked in with my bank, to tell them about this phishing email.  They also informed me that my acct., was safe.    I did feel better with all the information they gave me.     Now that I am more aware of such emails I check often with my bank and PayPal, just to make sure everything is okay!  
And if you do happen to receive creepy emails, having to do with your account,  just forward the entire email to: spoof@paypal.com  and they will take care of it.  

Schuler, 1970's Style!

Hi everyone, I would like to take this time to introduce my new image, her name is Schuler - 1970's style for sure!   Who doesn't remember those long skirts, and hey, those maxie skirts and dresses are back in style... I wonder what's next.. bell bottom jeans?   Store's may already carry those... Ah well, getting back to Schuler, she is rockin' it with the long skirt, colored in with Pearlescent Watercolors, (sorry, the sample provided just doesn't do it justice).  The rest of the coloring is done with Prisma Color Pencils.  Love these pencils!!  I can't say enough.. once thought I didn't know the right way to color... but with these... WOWSERS!!   Need I say more?!!     I just made something very simple,  love the vintage look too.   She is available in my Zibbet Shop!

Introducing my New Image!

I wanted to introduce all our blog followers, to my new image: "Sarah Jane"  she is just so cute posing in this photo.  I created this to look like a photograph you might find in the early 1900's.   I have yet, to work up a card using this cute image... but wanted to share it with you.  I hope you'll come to my shop and see what other images my husband and I have created.

Starting July 15th we will be announcing 2 Winners instead of 1...  on our FB Challenge Group..  more chances to win is always a good thing!!     I am in the process of making up new badges, so you'll be wanting to display these on your blog pages.. And who doesn't like to display a badge to say that they have won?!    Also, starting on July 15th, we will no longer be offering a "free" image to go with the FB Sketches.  I will be offering, free images within the album pages.   So, you'll need to go there to find an image, or if you don't find one there..  you may go to my shop on Zibbet to get something to use!   I often get questions on whether or not you can use an image that you have purchased from Createful Heart Design, say at an earlier time... or maybe you "won" an image... by all means, if you have either purchased an image through my shop, or have won an image... you are more than welcome to use this in your FB Sketch creation.   Just to make sure that it is through Createful Heart Design, ONLY.   I do not allow for another type of creation from another digi company to be used in our FB Sketch Challenges.  Please be sure to use something from Createful Heart Design.

Looking Forward

Hello everyone!   I've been spending the wee hours of the morning doing a bit of online shopping.  I don't usually get out much to go to the local craft stores...probably will go around or just before the Christmas season to see what they have to offer.   Anyway.. before I get too carried away... the store I tried this time around is https://www.facebook.com/groups/lighthousestopnshop/.   A friend of mine told me of the beautiful lace they have to offer...so I couldn't resist. ;)    And speaking of lace.... I have a stash of my own stuff... that I can never seem to find when I'm crafting.   So, I am trying to do my best to get a little more organized.  Wow what a job! ;)    

Here's what I've done so far with the ribbons for easier access - 

Just put those all in one tote.  

And this is what's left to go through.    This will take some time...but it will be worth it.

Encouragement from the Heart

June is about here... and something just for you

I am posting again after a long absence.   Since the other post was a bit gruff sounding, as if I was totally fed up with blogger....and I was at the time, and still am to a certain degree.    Before all the happenings around our house, I was in the process of getting everything changed over... but at this moment... I feel that I'm in a holding pattern so to speak.  Which simply means that I will wait until I'm fully sure that I will be making that trek to a new "blog home".    I just want my followers and visitors to know that I did not jump ship.  I would not do that.... I would let you know should the ship be sinking... and currently the ship is sailing just fine.
  
This next paragraph is totally off the subject... just didn't want the reader to become confused.**


  To make a clearer statement... After we returned from a very relaxing trip we came home to find that our washing machine decided to fail, turning my entire load of laundry into a greasy speckled up mess!   Which made me wish I'd never put in such a big load.  I couldn't understand what was happening.  But after my husband took apart the agitator he showed me where the grease was coming from.... grease in a washing machine?!?!   You've got to be kidding me. I freaked out.   Now what in the wide world of sports was I going to do to get the grease out of the wet clothing.  I called my mother (I was still in the freak out stage), and asked if I could bring my soggy soiled clothes over to her place to see what we could do.  Of course that was not a problem.  My mother's wisdom proved to be very helpful.   After a couple of thorough washings and a good dose of Oxy Clean got those clothes bright and white.   No stains were left behind. Yahoo!     After that mess it was time to buy a new washer.     BTW the new washer works great... I love it. ♥     Okay... getting back to the first night of our coming home from the trip... we then realized that the central air conditioning decided to give up the ghost as well...  just what we needed.   I was beginning to think that our house had turned against us.   Fun.   Thankfully, the weather hadn't turned too hot... not yet anyway... and we could enjoy having the windows open.     I don't know about you, but, I can only handle humid weather for so long...  we went about a month with no central air.    And just recently got the air conditioner fixed.  Thankfully for free!   I'm telling you this because I am grateful. And so relieved.

Victorian Lady *Update*

I think this turned out pretty well... had to think what would work for this Victorian lady.   This time I cut the image out.   Colored in with Prisma watercolor pencils.   Added a pink and teal flower (that I made).    It would have taken me a month to look through my entire lace and ribbon collection.. so I settled on this white ribbon with lace.   Let me know what you think.   Honestly, I feel that I do a better job with creating drawings and digital artworks.   Sometimes I don't feel that I do a very good job in creating pretty cards.  But at least I do try.   I'll give myself a pat on the back. :)

And here's another angle to see the face more clearly.  ta-da!

Now, I didn't realize how small the printing of the picture would be so... it took some careful attention to detail to make sure I colored in the eyes just right.   And still, it looks like I could have done just a tad bit better.    Well anyway... these are just samples of what can be created with the Victorian women digital images that are in the shop.

If you were on my blog earlier you probably noticed a blurb about a challenge that I was having well that has been closed.  Due to the fact that one must pay for the service.   So sorry.   If you would still be interested in showing me your cards that you've made using any of our images then you may do so.   Just send to me a link to your blog and I will be more than happy to check it out.

What a processor can do....

When the old computer decided to kick the bucket... hubby thought I could possibly have fun creating with the processor.  Hmmm...  so, I just happened to have just the right size block for it.
